🎀Pink October : a public health issue

Every year in France, 61,000 women are affected by breast cancer, the most common cancer among women in the country. For most of them, the disease is detected between the ages of 50 and 74.

However, when detected early, breast cancer can be cured in 9 out of 10 cases. The risk of death from this cancer has decreased by 40% in 30 years, thanks to the efforts of professionals and public awareness campaigns.

This is why the month of Pink October is dedicated to breast cancer screening, and numerous information campaigns and solidarity events are organized throughout France.

A Solidarity Walk on October 12 in the Bouconne Forest

The FO union is proud to support this cause. That's why we invite you to take part in the Pink Walk on Sunday, October 12, in the Bouconne forest.

Organized by the Sport Nature Thérapie association, this event is a call to action against breast cancer. Whether you're an experienced walker or a beginner, come share this moment of solidarity, community, and hope.

Your participation is a powerful way to support research and help women affected by the disease. Together, let's take another step for prevention!

The goals of this charity event are to:

• Raise public awareness about breast cancer screening.

• Offer a friendly, family-oriented event centered around a forest walk.

• Promote "health sports" with introductory workshops.

• Introduce participants to supportive care with wellness practitioners.

• Raise funds to ensure prevention actions through health sports and to develop care and activities for patients.

All funds raised will be donated to:

• Sport Nature Thérapie, which offers Adapted Sports Activities ("HEALTH SPORTS") for people with chronic illnesses, health prevention nutrition workshops, and public prevention initiatives.

• ISGT, which coordinates the medical, psychological, and social support for women with breast cancer.

• ARSE Association Régionale des Socio-esthéticiennes de Midi-Pyrénées, which provides services to women with breast cancer in rural areas.

• IUCT Centre de recherche de l'ONCOPOLE Toulouse (research center).
