We understand that it isn't always easy for you to navigate the various communications surrounding salary negotiations, between the Group level and that of your individual entity. FO Airbus SAS is here to help.
From now on, at the beginning of each year, salary negotiations within Airbus take place in two stages:
- First, discussions are held at the Group level: they establish a common framework applicable to all entities, including the annual change in the seniority point (and consequently the seniority bonus) and the revaluation of the SMH salary scales.
We have just finalized this Group agreement, you will find attached the main measures negotiated (in French only, sorry for that - please find a short recap at the end of this message).
- Secondly, local negotiations are held at the level of each entity (aircraft, helicopters, etc.). The Airbus Commercial Aircraft negotiations begin on Thursday, March 12, 2026 and should last until the end of March. We will be discussing the concrete measures applicable to Airbus Operations and Airbus SAS: budget, general and individual salary increases (percentage and minimum), promotion policy, etc.
If an agreement is reached, it will apply for the period from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
Follow us to stay informed about the progress of these discussions in the coming days!

Short recap of the Airbus Group agreement:
- Seniority point value
The agreement confirms the system obtained by FO in 2025. The seniority point will be revaluated on January 1, 2027, based on 50% of the highest salary policy within the Group in 2026.
- Minimum Hierarchical Salary (SMH) Scale
During the Reload negotiations, FO secured a higher SMH scale for Airbus than that of the Metalworking Collective Bargaining Agreement, in order to maintain the attractiveness of the Airbus Group.
After an increase of the SMH Scale beginning 2026, FO requested and obtained a dedicated negotiation meeting in the last quarter of this year to examine a possible change to the Airbus scale for 2027.
- Promotion/Career Development Budget (Definition of the concept and its use)
Each Division retains the right, during its negotiations, to identify (or not) a dedicated budget for promotions/career development.
This budget, centralized at the level of each legal entity, will be used to adjust salaries to the minimum wage (SMH) for promotions and transfers to a position within the same classification, as well as to prevent a lack of salary increase in the case of an employee already above the SMH.
Furthermore, FO also secured an agreement that, during transfers between legal entities (without geographical constraints), adjustments to the SMH and any necessary support will be funded outside of salary policy budgets.
