Remote work: Airbus European Committee confirms the application of national agreements

08/07/2026

The European Committee meeting held this Tuesday, July 7, confirms what our trade unions—FO and CFE-CGC—had already secured regarding remote work as early as June 16.

For several weeks, FO and CFE-CGC have consistently advocated for adherence to signed collective agreements.

On June 16, during a meeting with French HR management, FO and CFE-CGC obtained a guarantee that the Quality of Work Life and Working Conditions (QVCT) and remote work agreement remained fully applicable, and that there were no grounds to limit or circumvent its implementation.

Today, this position has been officially confirmed at the European level by our CEO.

The message is now unambiguous: the current agreement on hybrid work remains fully valid and applicable.

Managers must retain decision-making authority regarding work organization within their teams, in accordance with our QVCT agreement.

FO and CFE-CGC welcome this official confirmation. It puts an end to the conflicting interpretations that have circulated in recent weeks.

Furthermore, this confirmation is now binding on the entire management chain and Human Resources departments.
No manager, local management team, or organizational unit may now disregard the provisions set out in the agreements currently in force.

FO and CFE-CGC will remain particularly vigilant on this matter.

Every employee must be able to exercise the rights granted by the agreement under the same conditions and with the same fairness, regardless of their specific site or organizational unit.

Our CEO’s intervention demonstrates that by acting with determination and responsibility to ensure compliance with agreements signed by the majority, our trade unions—FO and CFE-CGC—have helped restore reason and calm, putting an end to all manner of turmoil!
