Airbus SAS Social and Economic Committee (SEC) on 29 November 2024: Minutes of Meeting

09/12/2024

The last Social and Economic Committee (CSE) was held on November 29, 2024, you will find below the main points to remember.

Commercial situation of Airbus Commercial Aircraft at the end of October 2024.

Since the start of the year, Airbus has recorded 749 gross orders (55% market share) compared to 378 gross orders for Boeing (28% market share), 200 gross orders for Comac (15% market share) and 28 gross orders for Embraer (2% market share).

Airbus' order book is 8,769 aircraft, including 7,832 Single Aisle and 937 Wide Body, compared to 6,246 aircraft for Boeing, or respectively 58% and 42% market share.

Concerning deliveries, Airbus delivered 559 aircraft at the end of October compared to 305 for Boeing, or respectively 63% and 34% of deliveries, also knowing that Comac and Embraer delivered respectively 7 and 31 aircraft (or 3% of deliveries).

As a reminder, the delivery target for the year 2024 has been set at 770 aircraft, knowing that there are 127 aircraft remaining to be delivered in December 2024!

Monitoring of Airbus SAS accidents – TF1 (Social Security Legal) FR1 (Airbus Declaration).

FR1= Number of Work Accidents with work stoppage of more than 24h (Airbus declaration).

During the month of October, no work accident with time off for more than 30 days was recorded!

Consequently, at the end of October 2024 the accident frequency rate over the last 12 rolling months (FR1) is:

- Airbus SAS: 0.35 (constantly decreasing since the start of the year)

- Airbus Commercial Aircraft: 1.71

The Airbus Commercial Aircraft objective for the year 2024 has been set at 1.95 and the Airbus SAS 2024 objective remains < 1

As a reminder, the FR1 rate taken into account for the calculation of the incentive bonus is that of the ACA (Airbus Commercial Aircraft) scope.

Since the start of 2024: Global accidentology reveals

55 Work Accidents (AT) with time off, 78 AT without stoppage, 92 benign or first aid AT and 476 near accidents

Work-home travel accidents numbering 95 since the start of the year are distributed by 26 with work stoppage, 33 without stoppage and 36 benign. Note also that cycling is the main cause of accidents.

Falls on the same level are on the rise (Airbus SAS and Operations) with, for example, numerous falls in parking lots. The root causes and improvement actions will be identified and monitored by members including the FO elected representatives of the CSSCT commission.

Information on the “CSIP Customer Satisfaction Improvement Program”

Presentation of the annual customer satisfaction survey “(CSIP) which has existed for 20 years and which makes it possible to measure and improve the satisfaction of Airbus customers, whether operators (approximately 400 airlines), lessors (which represent 51% of the global fleet) or MROs.

There were around 4,000 respondents (world wide) to the 2024 survey with a response rate of 57%, the results of the survey relate to 3 indices (global and by region) whose objective is set at 50 to namely “Satisfaction Index”, “Trust Index” and “Relationship Quality Index”

We observe a positive evolution of the 3 indices (vs. 2023 global index), however the “satisfaction index” for the “EUROPE” region still remains below the objective.

Based on the results of the survey and the identification of the “Top 5 irritants 2024”, objectives and action plans will be established by client & region.

Ambition 2030: The growth of the fleet continues to increase (+50% by 2030: around 18,000 aircraft in service), the ambition of customer services is to have “satisfied” customers, to increase “ Airbus revenue” and to be the preferred partner of customers in their transition journey towards decarbonization.
